Historical sources depict King Ladislaus I in the 11th century, hunting in a region of exceptional beauty, a region that today bears the name of Oradea. In honor of the founding king of the city, the people of Oradea annually celebrate the Days of Saint Ladislaus, with performances, concerts, bicycle tours, cooking contests, and many other cultural activities.
